What you can do here
Stay a night or a week. Each of these can stand alone, or become part of a longer retreat — tell us what draws you and we will shape it.

Mineral sand baths at Dakrour, the salt lakes, and the springs Siwa has healed with for centuries. Guided, unhurried, and built around how you actually feel that week.

Learn the oasis kitchen from the people who cook it — dates, olive oil, desert herbs and bread baked the way it has been here for generations. You eat what you make.

A desert camp for children: how a farm works, how water reaches a palm, how to read the dunes. Hands in the soil, not screens.

Walk the palm groves and olive terraces around the hotel in the cool hours. Quiet, shaded, and the simplest thing we offer.

A private tour to Siwa's salt lakes. Swim and float in the mineral-rich turquoise water, then rest on cushions by the shore with fruit and Siwan tea. Choose a tuk-tuk or a private car for the transfer, and add it to your stay when you book.

Around us

Mineral-rich water with therapeutic properties, and a horizon worth the walk.
Famous for sand baths and natural treatments, with real healing significance here.

The castle in the oasis
In the Amazigh language of the Siwan people, Aghurmi means “The Castle”. The hotel was designed with love, so every guest has a stay that is unique and unforgettable.
To bring the real Siwa spirit into every corner, international interior designer Dr. Mona ElBaz used natural materials sourced from the oasis itself.
The hotel is managed by Dr. Mohsen Abdelgaliel, an IATA International Travel Board Consultant with more than 35 years in tourism and hospitality.
Also on site: an in-house mini market, a tours office, and the Galaxy Salt Roof for stargazing.

Words from the founder
“Our mission is to revive the ancient healing traditions of Siwa and share them with the world.”
More than a decade ago Dr. Mohsen Abdelgaliel founded Aghurmi Hotel with one idea: that Siwa already knew how to heal people, and the job was to look after that knowledge rather than replace it. Sand baths, salt lakes, mineral springs — combined with his medical training, they made this a place people travel for.
